History
The Talagahahena Tea Estate and bungalow was turned into a beautiful Eco-Friendly resort, is a visionary idea of an international award winning entrepreneur who is hailing from the region. Overlooking the scenic Dumbara Mountain range, the resort is built on Thalagahahena Estate, a luscious tea plantation at Epitawela, Kiriella, along the Padukka - Ingiriya - Ratnapura highway. The Wijaya Holiday Resort has several beautiful facets including two natural waterfalls. The uniqueness of the swimming pool at the resort is that it is fed with cool water from a natural stream, 'Thalagahahena Ella' flowing from the Kabaragala Mountain.

The resort also offers recreation facilities and a kiddies' park, a playground for volleyball, basketball and a badminton court etc. Excursions to an age-old Graphite Mine in close proximity to the resort, the Dumbara mountain range and other places of tourist interest in the Sabaragamuwa Province, are also available.
